The Office of a Prophet; They Are Coming Back

by

An Office of a Profit knows too well that the words of truth he speaks will fall mostly to deaf ears. He is speaking truth in an upside-down world. He has entered the arena where the rules are flipped when wrong is right and right is wrong. It is coming, folks. It is here.

When the calling approaches you to be an Office of a Prophet, you will want to run. It is walking through the impossible. The people will not hear what G-d wants you to say. They don’t want to know that homosexuality is unbiblical. Forget even mentioning that sex should only be within the sanctity of marriage. Not many will want to hear that truth.

It has begun. The world’s morality is being flipped before our eyes. Only those who cling, read and know the scriptures can see the truth from deception. Yet, knowing it and speaking it are two different levels. We are getting close to the edge of real persecution happening when we speak the truth. This used to be something we only read about with some other country, or 2,000 years ago from the Bible. But it’s coming. Will you be bold? Will you hold fast?

The Office of a Prophet is not to be confused with the gift of prophecy. This prophetical position is not the position of edification. It is the position of regeneration. It is regenerating G-d’s people, bringing them back from false idolatry. The lie must be revealed so that they can come back to G-d. This will be part of the final harvest!

It is exposing the lie with the truth and being prepared to receive their indifferent or violent response.

The primary role and function of a prophet (called of G-d) is to bring correction for the current time. Often, this includes a prophetic warning of the consequences, if the word is not heeded.

Prophets were commissioned by G-d to call the people back to the covenant of Yehovah G-d, back to His ways, and His Word. It is calling the people back to G-d through repentance.

A true prophet’s message is not a comfortable one. There is no example of G-d ever sending prophets to have a revival, or to foretell of good times that lie ahead. Prophets are watchmen. Their job is to give forewarning of danger, not to encourage, bring excitement, or contentment.

There are examples of when a prophet’s message resulted in a revival. This was only when the people heeded the message and repented.

Most of those called to be prophets didn’t want the job. Most (think of Moses and Jeremiah) were reluctant, and sometimes even fearful, they knew that being called as a prophet most often meant a life of hardship and persecution.

The correction and repentance are not directed to the unsaved but to the people of G-d. The prophet brings warning and conviction to those who have strayed from the ways of G-d, pursuing false idols and their pleasures. Most people, in this rebellious state, do not want to hear a word of correction.

True believers will recognize a true prophet. They will welcome the correction, as they are genuinely seeking after G-d and are quick to repent, no matter what the cost.

Many times, in the Word of G-d, the prophets were persecuted, mocked, and killed. Popularity (or recognition) is not the test for a true prophet. It’s the opposite. True prophets usually aren’t popular.

2 Timothy 4:2-4, “Proclaim the Word! Be on hand with it whether the time seems right or not. Convict, censure, and exhort with unfailing patience and with teaching. For the time is coming when people will not have the patience for sound teaching but will cater to their passions and gather around themselves teachers who say whatever their ears itch to hear. Yes, they will stop listening to the truth, but will turn aside to follow myths.”

Will you be willing to be an Office of a Prophet if G-d calls you forth?

Shalom,
