Restoration for the Church in America: “Unity and Like-Mindedness”

by

Father,

We profess that there is one body, Spirit, faith, baptism, and One G-d. “There is one body and one Spirit, just as when you were called, you were called to one hope. And there is one LORD, one trust, one immersion, and one G-d, the Father of all, who rules over all, works through all and is in all.” (Eph 4:4-6)

As we come together, in one accord and unite in prayer, give us compassion for one another. Help us to love as brothers, being considerate and courteous. Help us not repay evil for evil or insult for insult, but bless those who persecute us, so that we may receive a blessing. (1 Pet 3:8-9)

Help those of us who are strong bear the weaknesses of those who are not able. Help us understand that we are not on this earth to please ourselves. We need to look out for one another and build each other up. Keep us focused on others more than ourselves. (Rom 15:1-2)

Help us be more like-minded toward one another as we seek you, Father, so that we can glorify You with one mind and one mouth. Help us to accept one another, just as Yahshua Messiah accepted us so that we will bring praise to You.

We will no longer be wise in our own, pride, opinions, assessments of ourselves, or our attitudes. We will not set our minds on the attraction, fascination, and enticements of the world but will collaborate and partner with the humble. Teach us to be sensitive to each other’s needs and not think of ourselves better than others. (Rom 12:16)

And may you Father, the source of encouragement and patience, give us the same attitude among ourselves as the Messiah Yahshua had, so that with one accord and with one voice, we may glorify the G-d and Father of our Lord Yahshua the Messiah. So we welcome each other, just as the Messiah has welcomed us into the glory of You, Father. (Rom 15:3-17)

Yahshua promised us that when we unite in prayer and agree with what we are asking, that You will be there with us in our midst, in our churches, and this country.

Mathew 18:19-20, “To repeat, I tell you that if two of you here on earth agree about anything people ask, it will be for them from my Father in heaven. For wherever two or three are assembled in my name, I am there with them.”

We confess that our conduct, direction, and treatment in the past was unworthy of the gospel of Yahshua. Still, now we desire to be dedicated, faithful, and unwavering in one spirit and to do our utmost together for the faith of the gospel, with one mind.

Philippians 1:27, “Only conduct your lives in a way worthy of the Good News of the Messiah; so that whether I come and see you or I hear about you from a distance, you stand firm, united in spirit, fighting with one accord for the faith of the Good News.”

Help us to respect one another in love. Let us not focus only on ourselves, as Yahshua did not please Himself.

Romans 15:1-3, “So we who are strong have a duty to bear the weaknesses of those who are not strong, rather than please ourselves. Each of us should please his neighbor and act for his good, thus building him up. For even the Messiah did not please himself; rather, as the Tanakh says, ‘The insults of those insulting you fell on me.’

May we aim to preserve and keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

Ephesians 4:2-3, “Always be humble, gentle, and patient, bearing with one another in love, and making every effort to preserve the unity the Spirit gives through the binding power of shalom.”

We are sorry that we have only looked out for our interests, affection, and concerns and not for the interests of others. We confess our selfish ambitions, pride, conceit, and in lowliness of mind. We bow down in humility before You Father to ask for Your help so that we can esteem others as better than ourselves.

Philippians 2:2-4, “Then complete my joy by having a common purpose and a common love, by being one in heart and mind. Do nothing out of rivalry or vanity; but, in humility, regard each other as better than yourselves. Look out for each other’s interests and not just for your own.”

We don’t want to be swaying on what we believe or deceived with “new” doctrine proclaimed by men (and women). We want to grow up in all things into the Head – Yahshua – from whom the whole body, all of us, are joined and knitted together by what every joint supplies.  “We will then no longer be infants tossed about by the waves and blown along by every wind of teaching, at the mercy of people clever in devising ways to deceive. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in every respect, grow up into him who is the head, the Messiah. Under His control, the whole body is being fitted and held together by the support of every joint, with each part working to fulfill its function; this is how the body grows and builds itself up in love.”  (Eph 4:14-16)

We will pray and not lose heart, encouraging others to persevere as they wait for Your promises. “Yahshua told his talmidim a parable, in order to impress on them that they must always keep praying and not lose heart.” (Lk 18:1)

Thank You, Father, that even though we are weak and we do not always know what to pray, that the Holy Spirit can intercede for us. You search our hearts. Please hear our prayers for the condition of the church in this country. “If we continue hoping for something we don’t see, then we still wait eagerly for it, with perseverance. But if we continue hoping for something we don’t see, then we still wait eagerly for it, with perseverance. Similarly, the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we don’t know how to pray the way we should. But the Spirit himself pleads on our behalf with groanings too deep for words, and the one who searches hearts knows what the Spirit is thinking because his pleadings for God’s people accord with God’s will.” (Rom 8:25-27)

May You, Father, fill us with all joy and peace, that we may flourish in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. “May God, the source of hope, fill you completely with joy and shalom as you continue trusting, so that by the power of the Ruach HaKodesh (holy Spirit) you may overflow with hope.” (Rom 15:13)

May we be in one accord with our brethren and go before the world in peace.

Amen & Shalom

Eliyahu Praise
