With all that is happening in the world today, there is a focus on end times, prophecy, and “doomsday” situations.
Luke 17:26-30, “Also, at the time of the Son of Man, it will be just as it was at the time of Noach, (Noah). People ate and drank, and men and women married, right up until the day Noach entered the ark; then the flood came and destroyed them all. Likewise, as it was in the time of Lot — people ate and drank, bought and sold, planted and built; but the day Lot left S’dom, (Sodom), fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all. That is how it will be on the day the Son of Man is revealed.”
When we look at end-time prophecy, many tend to focus on natural disasters, immorality, wickedness, and violence of the times. There is much concern and fear.
The Word of G-d warns that the end times will be troublesome, and filled with immorality and wickedness. We must be aware of the times and seasons so that we can be watching, praying, and preparing ourselves as Yahshua’s bride. It is also essential that we continue living a righteous life, as exampled by Noah.
The invasion of the darkness on the end-time warrior will be orchestrated from the second heaven, the so-called demonic structure. True to form, this battle will be a spiritual one, a struggle the naked eye cannot see. A key point in the enemy’s strategy is that various groupings of the enemy’s agents ranking will come at different times for the different battles engaged.
Ephesians 6:11-12, “Use all the armor and weaponry that G-d provides, so that you will be able to stand against the deceptive tactics of the Adversary. For we are not struggling against human beings, but against the rulers, authorities and cosmic powers governing this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”
Many believers look to the worldly alternatives instead of turning to the divine order of Adonai G-d. We have been informed of these alternative systems for so long that we regard them as the norm. How much of these systems have we allowed to influence our thinking and our walk with Adonai G-d?
Man tends to take the Word of G-d and turn it into a religious construct that suits his ego or selfish systems. Yahshua warns us of this in the end times. He calls it “traditions of men.”
Mark 7:9, “Indeed, he said to them, you have made a fine art of departing from God’s command to keep your tradition!” Religious systems will seek to change Adonai’s divine order to their satisfaction. If you knew Adonai’s divine order, then you would not fall for the deception of the world! Adonai has given us His Word, which clearly explains to us what His teachings and instructions are.
The church in the west has created a western Jesus whose theology focuses primarily on the New Testament. We should be diligent in studying the complete Word of G-d so that we will not be deceived in the last days. If our exclusive focus is on the New Testament, we will be open to deception.
We are called to renew our hearts, souls, and minds, and be role models to the dying world. This begins with a conscious decision to set aside our ideas, goals, ego, and fleshly desires. We must be willing to renew our minds to the fullest capacity that allows us to understand and follow Adonai’s divine plans and ideas.
We should be manifesting a lifestyle, at the end of days, that walks in obedience to the commandments of Adonai G-d. This encompasses searching out His truth in His entire Word (Old and New Testament), worshiping Him in spirit and truth, being willing to repent and ask forgiveness whenever we have messed up and being a role model for those to follow. This includes walking out our faith. We need to be servants to our fellow man, protecting those who are struggling and have less than we do. Now is the time to be totality dedicated and committed to Yahshua Messiah, being as transparent as we can with Him, trusting Him in all that we do!
World-systems are crashing. Everything is being shaken. Safety and security are threatened. Issues such as religious conflicts, climate changes, destruction of nature, natural disasters, gender equality, corruption of governments, and food shortages are creating rising destabilization. The future without hope in Adonai G-d and Messiah Yahshua is looking very uncertain.
We need to seek the face of Adonai G-d. We need to go beyond searching the scriptures to know and discern the signs of the times. We need to understand what we are appointed to do during these times. How do we prepare physically, mentally, and spiritually? If you seek Adonai G-d and allow the Holy Spirit to guide you, He will give you enough time to prepare for what’s coming. Seek the Father’s voice and read His Word with reckless abandon! Follow His instructions and obey His every command! You will be protected!
We have Adonai’s promises. He remembers those who truly love Him.
Remember, it is written:
Revelation 3:10, “Because you have guarded and kept My word of patient endurance (have held fast the lesson of My patience with the expectant endurance that I give you), I also will keep you (safe) from the hour of trial (testing) which is coming on the whole world to try those who dwell upon the earth.”
Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and brave. Don’t be afraid of them. Don’t be frightened. The LORD, your G-d, will go with you. He will not leave you or forget you.”
2 Peter 2:5-7, “And he did not spare the ancient world; on the contrary, he preserved Noach, (Noah) a herald of righteousness, with seven others, and brought the flood upon a world of ungodly people. And he condemned the cities of S’dom and ‘Amora, reducing them to ashes and ruin, as a warning to those in the future who would live ungodly lives, but he rescued Lot, a righteous man who was distressed by the debauchery of those unprincipled people.”
2 Peter 2:9, “So the LORD knows how to rescue the godly from trials and how to hold the wicked until the Day of Judgment while continuing to punish them.”
Beware of the “traditions of men.” Do not rely on others to interpret the Word of G-d for us. We should never allow the fear of man (or government, or media) to cause us to follow new ideologies, trends of man’s thinking, or teachings.
Things you can do to be prepared for days ahead of us:
- Work on building values based on the Word of Adonai. Instill His character and attributes within yourself. When the pressures of the world come, and there are decisions to be made concerning the end times, you will be able to stay focused and alert in those decisions.
- Take a hard analysis of yourself and define the areas of sin that tempts you the most. Build protective ways with the Word of G-d, in your mind, to help you discern, when darkness baits you. The temptations will magnify, with the schemes of the world systems, in attempt to pull you down and defeat you.
- Beware of the man that forms opinions, theories and models that are truly not based on the Word of G-d. Many will say it is based on the Word, but only if you have studied it will you know. These men of deception will create proof for their theories and models based on selectively choosing verses that support their view. There are no shortcuts. You need to know your Word!
1 Peter 1:3-5, “Praised be God, Father of our Lord Yahshua the Messiah, who, in keeping with his great mercy, has caused us, through the resurrection of Yahshua the Messiah from the dead, to be born again to a living hope, to an inheritance that cannot decay, spoil or fade, kept safe for you in heaven. Meanwhile, through trusting, you are being protected by God’s power for a deliverance ready to be revealed at the Last Time.”
We hope that, after we have lived this life for Messiah Yahshua, we will be like Him and will be with Him eternally. That’s what we live for on this earth. We focus on what is before us in the heavenly places. Colossians 3:1-2, “So if you were raised along with the Messiah, then seek the things above, where the Messiah is sitting at the right hand of God. Focus your minds on the things above, not on things here on earth.”
